Penrith Lonsdale Cinema

Darren Manger of Penrith Lonsdale Cinema with old
35mm film and projectors in screen 2 projection room.

Penrith Londales Cinema has now been brought into the modern ages last month the end of an era how come as the old 35mm films and projectors have been removed from screen 1 and 2 at Penrith Lonsdale Cinema.
The sound system has also been upgraded to 3D surround sound new speakers in screen 2 giving it a great sound now.
The new digital projectors are 1/4 the size of the old 35mm projectors lot more cost effective to run and sharper pictures.

Inside of screen 1

The new digital projectors can now be remotely controlled from a lap top anywhere in the building the seating lighting and curtains are all connected to the projector this means that it is just one key press and its all controlled by the computer built into the projector.
Instead of the large 35mm film reels being lugged up the stairs and into the projection room and loaded onto the projector and then the risk of the film snapping or melting when the film is being shown causing major problems.

The whole theatre has been given a new lease of life with the ability to show more up to date films which now come on a USB pen drive and inserted into the projector and down loaded in minutes and theirs no rewinding the films next morning ready for the next film showing.

The Old Style Projector in Screen 1

So next time you have nothing to do why don't you pop into the Penrith Lonsdale Cinema and experience the new surround sound and and 3D pictures which are now being shown daily why not treat yourself to some pop corn and sweets before you go in to one of screens.
Field View Electrical Ltd are proud to have been part of the team in the change over.
